bemrjm Hi! Just saw you purchased the curtains. I am packing them up now (they’re already in bagging from the dry cleaners but I am going to put them inside another plastic bag as well to protect them from the elements if the shipping Box were to get wet. bemrjm Hi Angela. I woke up in a bit of a panic about the curtains, opened the box and looked at them again. While the sun discoloration is not on the silk curtain itself, i held the panels up spread out (like if they were pulled closed) and if sun is shining through from the back, you can in that case see some discoloration because of the shadow effect.

bemrjm We haven’t used the curtains in several years and never noticed the discoloration because we always had the curtains pulled open when daylight would be coming through the window. But I don’t want you to be unhappy. We can cancel the sale, or I could sell them to you for cheaper or I could include something else you might like from my closet as a way to make up for this. I am so sorry. I don’t think it would be a problem depending on how you intend to use the curtains but want you to be happy

bemrjm Hi. I think if I don’t hear back from you by Monday, I should probably cancel the sale. If you are able to respond, please let me know your thoughts. We always had the curtains pulled open during daylight so never noticed that when they are drawn during the day time, the shadow of the discoloration can be seen. Frankly, the striking effect on the back from the sun is probably because the sun was only hitting them when they were pulled open

bemrjm Striping, not striking. In other words, there are some vertical lines of discoloration. None of it actually is on the silk itself. It’s just that when the curtains are drawn shut and the sun shines through the backing you can see the difference in color when the sun is bright.

gruevygirl @bemrjm I'm having trouble picturing the discoloration you're describing. my intention was to keep them open for the most part, w/a sheer in between. if you think that the discoloration won't be overly obvious, I'm good with it
