sharalynne1 Thanks for the offer - I see you are pretty new to Poshmark. Poshmark takes 20% of all sales. If I make an offer I pay part or all of the shipping. Yesterday Poshmark had a sale on shipping that I didn't have to pay anything, and so I passed the shipping onto you. Since you don't have any listings, I guessing you don't know this part about Poshmark and how it works. Here is the equation. $12 - 20% = $9.60 Shipping $7.10 I would get $2.50 for a pair of shoe I paid $110 for.

maryeri18 @sharalynne1 Yes, I’m new and I’m only a buyer. Thanks for the teaching, very kind. As a buyer, the shipping has always come from me. So, my math is based on comparable sale prices in Poshmark, I put a top price in my mind (e.g $20 for a shoe that I like but really don’t need) 20-7.11 shipping =13.11 offer. Poshmark shipping is a bid high and it becomes buyers burden.

sharalynne1 I get where you are coming from. When you make the offer you pay the shipping. When I make the offer I pay at least part of the shipping. I have the option of $2.50 or $7. what ever. On Sunday's Posh Mark does a sale - If I drop my price by 10% then they give YOU the $4.99 option, unless I offer the free shipping with my offer. It isn't a straight science. It depends on the seller. You have only had the side of the buyer. Remember I offered the discount and the $4.99 shipping?

claudcjv Since Poshmark takes a portion of the sale I cannot go lower than $10 on any one item. Check out the rest of my closet, if you bundle 2 or more items I’ll give you 10% off and you will save on shipping

sharalynne1 There is two level of offers - public and private. The private ones are what I am talking about. The public one is pretty straight forward. All pretty confusing.

sharalynne1 Any - I hope you follow me and we can be online friends. I always put in a little gift of jewelry or lipgloss from Mary Kay to help defer shipping cost. When I do the private offer I pay the other half of the shipping. :)

sharalynne1 @maryeri18 Good morning! True, but I still can't go that low. :) I did an experiment. I did a posting of what it would be if I did do an offer and pay shipping - it turns out I would make under $2. I left it up so you can see from a seller's side what a private offer looks like and how I can pay shipping. That way you can see what I am talking about. I don't think before we started talking you knew I could offer partial or full shipping to be paid by me.

sharalynne1 This should help you understand for your future negotiations.. On Fundays (Sundays) and other days PM offers a special. If Sellers drop their prices by 10% publicly then the shipping will be $4.99. If you "like" an item then a seller can go lower to pass the savings on to you. A tip on how to get your best price.

jcbcutie hi there I canceled the order. sorry! I noticed some blue color on it from being stored next to new Jeans. it's like the dye ran. I'm not sure if it will wash out. 😢 this has never happened before!
