One of my favorite brands lately is Chico's, but I love other brands, also, like Staley Gretzinger, Blue Fish, Dansko, and not just for myself to wear, I also shop for my 24 year old daughter. You can end up spending hours. I would love if they had a "wish list" feature to match buyers with sellers who have or are listing the items buyers are looking for.

@stylingwithme I buy mainly for my daughter ... extremely hard habit to break. So the things I liked and shared or bundled so far are items I think she'd love. Once in a while I buy something I like. I almost bought these light blue SAS for me from another seller but they sold before I could make up my mind. My daughter loved a vintage April Cornell dress so much I went and bought more April Cornell for her ... we shall see if she likes any of it. Hope this helps.

@dmariedivine Yes! Lots of fun! But when I first heard of Poshmark it was in April thanks to a CBS Sunday Morning segment about it. I thought "I could do that" ... selling items looked interesting to do but meanwhile... here I am so many months later still have not listed anything. I spent any money I would have used to buy to sell things on Poshmark on Poshmark! Addictive! Ebay can be, too, bidding on stuff ... for other items. Poshmark has the best selection and search I think.

For example, I bought brand new Free People sandals she told me to rePosh them and I bought a hi low tie dye with crochet tank top she told me not her colors. Sweaters she can be very particular about. I bought her a Free People sweater she told me it was too much like one she already owns. So I started forwarding links of items to her now so if she likes something she can let me know.

She said "that I really love" meaning several other pieces of jewelry she liked okay but this choker she loved (a metal chain with small blue bead dangles). Apologies if it wasn't you that sent it... My daughter told me this weekend and last that she needs a wallet (she had one made from leaves, believe it or not, & I found a store that sells wallets made out of leaves, too, it's on Etsy) and she is growing her bangs out so headbands are good, a skinny black belt, skirts, bike shorts. @blc70s everything is ok and I have been to the ocean at least every 3 days, which is nice, and not too far. You can drive from one end of RI to the end of the state in about an hr. I live in the northern part of the state and the beaches are at the southern Part of the state, so my friend and I take the country roads where there is no traffic and it is very scenic.

@blc70s Hi Barbara , yes I do get over to Block Island at least once a year, and it is so awesome. I go swimming at Galilee, where people pick up the ferry to Block Island. Two saturdays ago, I went and took the ferry to Long Island from Ct. for a family party. I live near the Ct line, drive about 50 mins, get on the Orient Point Ferry and my sister lives about 20 mins from there. I did the trip,in one day. Was home by 8 pm. I live in the northernest part of RI, on the border of Ma and Ct.

The earrings I can picture clearly and the two sterling rings. One I wasn't sure was sterling though but no biggie. I loved everything else! I hope you located what you made a mistake with. I do this myself now and then. Just recently got rid of - by accident and from rushing - a small bin of things I was saving that I meant to keep!

@blc70s Yes, it is marked Tabra. My mother gave it to me in the late 90's/ early 2000's when she was managing a handcrafted arts boutique that carried Tabra's amazing work. I'm sorry it's not easy to see the flaws; was hard to get a good close up picture. I'd be happy to see if I could get better pictures today!

@blc70s Well, slow and steady wins the race! For some, this is a way to clear out clothes you don’t wear or don’t want to keep. Post it with some clear pics in good light and price it at about what you paid plus a little wiggle room!
For others like me, it’s a side business. I know jewelry so that’s what I sell.
It takes a bit of time and patience at the beginning; there are folks like me out there always willing to help!

@blc70s I tried to do a little research on the lines to find out if it's normal, and didn't find much helpful. Mostly info about elephant ivory, and this piece is bone, but not elephant. I don't know the specific type of bone. It seems intact, I don't believe they're cracks, more like darkened grain of the bone. The eyes are carved at a fairly even depth. I think the eye of the sun has darkened a little more, & the angle of the picture emphasizes that.

@blc70s I'd say it's certainly not broken. It has been worn, but not for years (my job as a picture framer eliminates wearing arm jewelry that could damage art or delicate materials). It's in good, but not excellent condition, because of the lines and scratches on the back.

I hope my daughter who is 21 will like this & into search for connectors (hopefully not all too costly but Tabra is higher end $ wise). A friend has some Tabra jewelry but not bracelets & none with with bone I don’t think ... trying to remember? First time I saw the face jewelry I thought it was rather unusual.

Most recent I hit buy not seeing an offer a few dollars lower. Luckily, it was not more! Twice I bought things on line be I had to return (Ebay... jewelry) but returns were not a problem. I am mulling the purchase over since you offered me the opportunity. Thank you for being so considerate.

I just sold items for cash that I thought I would wear or use but haven’t plus stuff I bought my daughter she did not like to a store where I live to pay my credit card down. Afterwards when I added up what cash I got compared to what I sold cost I was sleepless for days. I found out about Poshmark in fact from a CBS Sunday morning profile last spring. I want to sell on Posh but I haven’t begun yet. Still learning.

@leanderandhero Etsy has a seller who appears to sell TABRA for less than EBAY & elsewhere but so far mainly earrings. EBAY has sellers who have Tabra style not authentic Tabra. I returned an unsigned TABRA. Your Tabra is the real deal so that makes it valuable even if it is not in excellent condition but shows signs of wear and use. Well, you probably know all this already. I think it is not that easy to come by? Maybe out west? I had not heard of it till this past April. Best wishes.

I just started selling in Aug. this year, because I bought something on eBay I couldn't return when it didn't fit, & hated to get no return on the investment. Then I found a couple more things I couldn't (or didn't) wear, & it just kept going... selling items from family & friends as well. Now I just made Posh Ambassador a couple of weeks ago. Can't say it's a living, but it lets me make more than local consignment!

I bought Free People sandals for my daughter that she did not like but most everything she has loved so I have to resell. But she is wearing a vintage faux fur I bought last spring that was a great buy. She’s wearing Posh Vintage Frye boots I bought. We rarely pay full retail. True, It’s tough to make any money from consignment with 40/60 splits.

@leanderandhero I have to just try Posh... just break the ice as that saying goes. Pondering what to sell now that I sold like 6 bins of stuff (with one bin I did not mean to include). Make sure to always buy clear plastic bins you can see through and label because in my haste to go I included a bin of items I think were worth more than what the store paid. Store that buys pays 1/3 of the original price supposedly. She did not do that with everything.

@blc70s I think, in terms of the buyers' fussiness, that as long as you look over the items carefully & note any minimal faults (small snag, little hole, any fading or fabric 'pilling', scuffs or nicks on shoes, etc) and take pictures of & describe/ mention in your item's description, then the buyer will be informed, and decide for themselves. Occasionally you'll get someone super picky (con't).

@blc70s It is hard to say what sell when you've just sold so much). If you,or your daughter, have any friends looking to clear their closets, that might be a place to start. A lot of posh sellers go to the Goodwills in their area, and find great new/ almost new items with desirable brands.

@ The first "Posh party" of the day focuses on a group of desirable brands that switch around every few days. Keep an eye on what brands are listed for a week or so (some are high-end, some less so). Keep those in mind. I know Free People & Frye do well (like you mentioned you & your daughter got), Anthropologie brands (the carry a few), Madewell, Zara, Boden, ModCloth, Nike, Victoria' Secret/ VS Pink, lululemon, Athleta are a few that do well.

@thevintageview Hi, I just checked the scarves on your closet & none looked like what was included (in the box under the tissue wrapped butterfly scarf and butterflies pins). When I find where I put it I will be able to give you a better description. It was not immediately recognizable as Vera and it was chiffon or that texture. Not smooth silk or poly.

@thevintageview No. I use asthma meds. I tried giving those up too & did okay for 5 years (sometimes tough) but seasonal allergies kicked in. My daughter has been sick & my husband is sick, too. There’s something going around. Slower than usual to get over ... annoying symptoms. Maybe the pollens are worsening my recovery? Sorry for complaining. Posh offers a respite and distraction. Thank you.

@modig Thanks and apologies for complaining! Getting sick and staying sick definitely gets tiring when it seems like recovery is taking way too long. I have enjoyed killing time on Posh eating to feel better but now my patience with this all is wearing thin. Posh is fun though. When I can get back to looking I will check your closet out for sure!

@blc70s I know exactly what mean- I had a really intense case of shingles in the fall compounded by cellulitis and then a plum sized blood clot from a breast biopsy I hemorrhaged with because I had been on pain meds for so long with the shingles- I thought I’d never heal- it took the whole fall of just coming home from work to lay in bed and try not to move, so I completely understand your impatience with how long it’s taking- just be good to yourself so you can heal. Will be thinking of you!☀️🌷
