alisamckenzie @beverlypitts Hi Beverly! This is going to be a multi part answer to fit in the word limit. There's a Canadian and an American version of Poshmark. Since you were able to see my listing and I'm in Canada, you must have set your country as Canada, and I will be able to ship to you within Canada. You can change your country to shop in the US if you want.

alisamckenzie @beverlypitts For Canadian shipping charge, buyers pay a flat rate of $13, anywhere in Canada (don't forget taxes extra). Buyers often buy multiple items from the same seller by adding them to a bundle. Not only can the seller offer a better discount, you also get to pay only $13 shipping for the whole order. Sometimes the seller will offer discount on shipping.

alisamckenzie @beverlypitts When you are ready to make a purchase, you will have a chance to review the final price and breakdown before you complete. It's customary to negotiate prices, I think of it as an old fashioned town market before malls, only it's online. I hope this is not too much information. I know I had a lot of questions on my first purchase, so don't hesitate to ask.

beverlypitts @alisamckenzie Thank you! Ok now if I’m going to list items from my closet just thinking I can only charge $13 for shipping? As Canada post expediated shipping could cost me as a seller more depending on the weight and size. And to where it’s shipping too. My first thought I was going to list my jimmy Choi’s Cruz boots I bought in Venice but super heavy?

alisamckenzie @beverlypitts Oh I see my answer can be confusing from a seller's perspective. The $13 covers order up to 5lb, package heavier than that the seller will pay extra by the lb. You can offer discount on shipping out of pocket. There are campaigns you can participate in to provide shipping discount to buyers from Poshmark instead of out of pocket. When I was new I read blogs and watched YouTube videos for tips and they were really helpful. And of course read all the FAQs you can find on Poshmark.

alisamckenzie @beverlypitts There are a few articles in the FAQ section that do a good job explaining shipping, labels, etc. While you are there I recommend reading up on how seller fee is calculated so you will have a positive experience on your first sell.

peasoup141 I wanted to let you know that I contacted Canada Post to ask about what is causing delay in delivery. They told me they could not give me an exact date but due to the previous flooding catastrophe, ongoing bad weather, omicron and staff shortages, delivery may take much longer. I have filed a monitoring ticket and as soon as I hear anything, I will provide an update. Take care.
