Meet your Posher, Carla

Hi! I'm Carla. Clothing has always been an obsession of mine, for as long as I can remember! I love to dress up- for the day or evening. Here is my story…. In 2013, at 34 years of age, I went to put on a pair of my favourite heels. I suddenly felt a strong, electric pain radiate through my body. And that’s when my life changed. As it turned out, I had a large bulging disc in my lower back. I can’t say I could ever sympathize with people dealing with chronic pain. But now here I was… 24/7 pain, limited in movement, and what my family and I could now do together. The end of 2019, I was rushed in for emergency back surgery. Days later, driving back home, my husband and I hit a deer. Result= another hospital stay =a second back surgery. For 2.5 years I felt GREAT! I had my life back! Mid 2022, a very familiar pain returned. A rushed MRI, showed scar tissue, pinching off nerves, and causing pressure on my spine. Chance of reoccurrence is high= possible no surgical option. So here I am… where I was previously. In pain, and dependant on pain meds, and limited in what I can do. I do not write this for sympathy. Just to understand my story, and why my closet is so important to me. This is something I CAN DO!!!
