janines2 Thanks so much for sharing my closet! Any advise on how to stop the low ball offers? I think that my prices are fair already, I always give a discount as well, and then people counter back with half of that.

janines2 As sellers they should know that it leaves nothing for the seller on such low bids. My items are new or like new, and I sell them already at a deep discount. I just sold something and I got $2 for it. The time to package it and the cost of the package with the little gift I give, left me actually in the hole. I have some very grateful customers who thank me for the gift, but several who don’t mention it at all.

janines2 I think my first bad taste for here was (glad that I have stuck it out though...). Was, I had sold a name brand item, new for rock bottom, because I got beat up on the price $29, then the purchaser only gave me a 4 star because they disagreed with colour but liked the item

maison_casa @janines2 I'm sorry, low key lurking here, and I feel you, someone here "convinced" me into selling something, gave me a critical and picky rating and low and behold turned around and sold it on their closet going to make a huge profit compared to me. Lesson learned: decline decline decline if it doesn't feel right. Lowballers are an unfortunate part of this that you get no matter if it's FB or a garage sale.

carriemurdoch @janines2 honestly, I would raise your prices. People like to see the discount. It has something to do with our brain chemistry. Not everyone knows that you’re already discounting the item because they don’t know the original value but if you raise the price then you can give them a better discount.

carriemurdoch @maison_casa and yes, i have had some of those. And sometimes we lose money. I recently sold a hat that was NWT and i made $1.60 (which as you said, is basically losing money after packaging and a little gift) and then the girl gave me a 4 star review and never left a comment as to why. It was exactly as shown. I paid way more for it as I bought a couple of them as Christmas gifts that I didn’t end up giving. 🤷🏼‍♀️

For example...I had brand new coats, showed the price tag of $345, I listed for $90 a steal of a deal, offered them at $75, and people were low balling me with offers of $45! I sold them all...but I was getting so frustrated

carriemurdoch @janines2 wow! I am sorry you had that experience. Did you counter their low ball offer? I have had back and forth price negotiations before. Ended up somewhere between what I could justify spending and how low they wanted to go. 😂 it’s funny how shopping for my kids makes it okay to go over my budget! 😂

carriemurdoch @westcoastatire hi there, it was 4 weeks ago, not months. It was an honest error putting in the wrong print. If you had simply not accepted the order in the app, this would be much more simpler. I am trying to figure it out. Ultimately, the accepting of the order completed the transaction because you were satisfied with what you received. I’m not sure how to undo this. Perhaps you can contact customer service, well, please.

westcoastatire @carriemurdoch Please send the item that the customer paid for it is a misrepresentation to send the wrong item for what was paid for please send the eagle print as soon as possible it was your mistake therefore u need to correct that mistake or it will look very bad for your future on Poshmarks if u continue to misrepresent items for sale!!

carriemurdoch @westcoastatire i beg your pardon? This was an honest error and I am trying to correct it in the proper manner. Threatening me is not a great way to deal with this situation. Poshmark has set up the system for buyers to safely shop by allowing you to not accept an item if it is not what you purchased. It clearly states that “once you accept this item you are agreeing that it is as expected”. I don’t actually HAVE to do anything at this point.

You don’t know what else I have on my plate right now and i can tell you, it’s full af, still has lots of leftovers on it and is starting to feel like a flimsy paper plate instead of the strong ceramic one i am used to.
