tracyk11 What exactly is the problem with your Frye sandals? Nothing was broken and no staining on leather when I sent them out, I'm reaching out to see exactly what the problem is?

tattycoram @tracyk11 Hi Tracy. They are lovely shoes but they smell really strongly of cigarette smoke. I have strong allergies and three children under five. As you probably know, it's hard to get a smoke smell out of leather. I sent some photos of wear and tear to the Poshmark team, but really the issue for me is the smoke smell. I'm really sorry to inconvenience you and I don't mean to be hypercritical.

tracyk11 This is not a problem but it says on the description all sales are final please ask any and all questions you never at all once asked if these came from smoking home there are no stains and there is no damage and I understand your sensitivity to smoke but had you asked me I could have told you they come from a smoking home

tattycoram I never thought to ask that, Tracy. I wish I had so that I could have saved you the trouble. You might post about it in your descriptions so it doesn't happen again? I truly am sorry for this situation. I'm just not able to have these in my house. I will happily pay the return shipping. Have you done returns with Poshmark before? I have not, so I don't know the best way to negotiate this.

tracyk11 @tattycoram they will make a decision about the case filed and either issue you a return label and reimburse you or they will release the funds to me... depends on what they decide. May I suggest in the future since your allergy is so severe that you can't have them in your house... that you confirm all previously owned items you are planning to purchase might not compromise this allergy

tattycoram Hi Tracy. You are right that I should ask about smoking in the future. Most of my online second-hand buying experiences come from places like Swap or ThredUp where there is a site-wide policy against smoke odor. Anyway, I just heard from Poshmark that they will grant the refund. I'm sending the shoes back to you today. I've also included in the box an envelop with $10, which I think should cover the shipping. Again, I'm sorry this didn't go as planned.
