I’m having so much pain lately and nothing seems to help it. The Humira this year is better than the Embrel was, but still I can’t lay down or sit w/o pain. Are you on biologics?

@gwendlyn3 I was on Enbrel, but had progressively worse site reaction
S. Was on Humira and did well for a while. It gradually stopped being effective. They upped my dosage to every week and that only helped at couple of months. I self injected methotrexate because the tablets made me break out.
Xeljanz was wonderful when I could get samples, but it is not covered by my current insurance. For now, I love glucosteroids and NSAIDS.

It's so miserable to be in chronic pain. I can't think. It's like my mind is so distracted sometimes that it takes all my focus to order off a stupid menu. And if you haven't lived it, that makes no sense.
I also get to have chronic migraines. I would not wish those on my worse enemy either.
You're absolutely correct, it helps knowing we're not alone and someone else understands ❤

@eye4got thank you so much! I used to dress up a little more than now because I changed line of work. Was a banker for 30 years, and now do mortgage lending. I can dress pretty casual now. Most items barely worn. My weight goes up and down, so have several different sizes in my closet. I Need to find a good weight and stick to it, lol.

@debbierockwell my closest goes from 8 to 22. Currently at 12 to 14 for a year. That's a record. Trying to change my mindset from "I should be smaller" to "good job at keeping what you lost off" :) And it seems my style evolves faster that my budget! Tee hee

@eye4got wow! How did you lose so much? I'm doing no bread, sweets, and less red meat, but it's slow. Got my vitamin d way up, and that has helped so much with how I feel. Went from 15 to 60 and my joints feel so much better! Also take ubiquinol and eating oatmeal for cholesterol. What's your secret?

@debbierockwell I don't know that I have a secret. I love junk food. Pizza is a necessary evil. Instead of eating half a pizza, I eat 1 piece less. I serve myself on lunch size plates at home. I cut almost everything in half if I go out. I walk 10 to 15 minutes kn break at work. I still have sweets but get like a kids size. I fluctuate 2 lbs either way and don't stress if I overeat, especially at a special occasion. Just being mindful of porti8size has been huge for me.

@eye4got sounds like a great plan. I'm going to start swimming because have a bad back. You should try making a cauliflower pizza crust, all the goodness and can eat more! Lots of recipes online using cauliflower rice. It's amazing!

I left my husband at the time and left them all behind, along with everything else that didn't fit into 7 rubbermaid totes. Now I'm in a much better place, and am gathering just the bears that made or make me smile 😊
