avillalp Hey I saw one of your comments on a listing for the dooney backpack. I believe it was a scammer, so I contacted posh about it but they can’t do anything until the 7 days pass. I found the same exact photos on a Mer listing. I too, purchased the bag on Saturday night.

crisamar2009 @avillalp Yes thank you for reaching out I appreciate it. I suspected it soon after I purchased it because I received an offer from the seller for the same item shortly after. I contacted Poshmark right away but I have to wait for the 7 days to go by unfortunately. Not convenient for us because our money has to remain tied up even though post has been reported before.

crisamar2009 @avillalp I've been emailing back and forth with Poshmark and they said I just have to reject the package or not accept it. I was hoping it didn't get this far so that the order would just cancel after the 7 day period. I didn't want to have to go through the process of sending a package back. We are protected by their poshprotect policy if this were in fact a scam. I'm hoping for the best. please let me know if you have any other information. Thank you!

avillalp @crisamar2009 I have the link to the other listing on another app but I saw the same listing on here as well with a different seller. I used pal as well so that should be extra security. How do you reject the package? Is this the better option?

crisamar2009 @avillalp on the Poshmark app I just received a delivered message, but I did not receive the package. I have called my local post office and they have opened a case for the package but I won't hear back until Monday unfortunately. Hopefully Poshmark does not release the payment until I'm able to verify this package. have you received an actual package?

avillalp @crisamar2009 I just checked my ups box and nothing was delivered. Do we just check off not delivered? How is this possible?

crisamar2009 @avillalp I'm am perplexed myself. I opened a case with my local post office to see if it was actually delivered I thought maybe for some reason it wasn't left at my box or door, but it's very strange that they wouldn't have left it because they actually dropped off another package I was waiting for so why would they deliver one and not the other its strange.

crisamar2009 On the app it says delivered but I didn't receive anything for sure and you not receiving the package either is too much of a coincidence I think. I'm going to wait and see what my post office says on Monday and if they say there wasn't any package I will say it was not delivered. I will have post office as proof that there was no package. I'm just wondering how someone is able to supposedly send a package and it say delivered and everything and not actually have sent it.

crisamar2009 @avillalp thank you for continuing to stay connected by the way. I've purchased from Poshmark so many times and have never come across a problem like this. I just hope we get our money back without going through so much hassle. at this point that's all I want is a refund.

avillalp @crisamar2009 have you had any updates? Did you check tracking? Posh has not been helpful, they only reply with automated responses. My package was returned because the address was altered to a fake one. The usps sent it back. I was researching and it seems like it’s a common scam. Usps tracking only shows zip code. I think you can go to the post office and request the address it was sent to. Most likely you’ll find that the address was altered.

crisamar2009 @avillalp Yes, I went to my local post office and they indeed altered the address wasn't even my address and it was addressed to someone else not my name. The post office gave me a copy of the tracking information that shows it's linked to a different package and also a picture of the actual package. it definitely has been a hassle. I've never had problems with Poshmark and I've purchased quite a few items over time.

crisamar2009 definitely makes me not want to use this app anymore. I clearly reported it right away as soon as noticed the irregular activity and they still made me wait the 7 day period. I will continue to try contacting them until it gets resolved. please let me know if you find anything else out. thank you
