julielyons0215 @lynda_johnson hi!!!! I hope it’s okay if I ask you a quick qt. I made 1st sale of perfume bottle. I received the shipping label in my email and I printed it. I just want to make sure I’m doing it correctly... do I got to the post office to get/buy a small box to put it in and then tape the shipping label on that box? Or can I use a small box I have alreadyto send it in? And as long as the item is under 5lbs can I just pop it in the mailbox once I placed shipping label ? TY!❤️julie

lynda_johnson Hi Julie, congrats on your sale! That's awesome! Okay so when it comes to mailing in order to use the tracking that is provided on your label. You'll want to pack in your own or a provided Red Label envelope or box from the post office. Then you need to either go online and request a pickup for that item under the priority label or drop it off to the post office Clerk or a mail and send type place like Mail Boxes Etc. julielyons0215 @lynda_johnson thank you sooo much Lynda! I really appreciate your tips and pointers! One other questions - how do I “share” ur closet or an article of clothing you have listed? And what is proper posh etiquette?- like if someone shares my listing is the right thing to do share theirs back? Or am I only supposed to share things I am considering purchasing ? lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 @julielyons0215 To share your items, it depends on the device your using. If your using your phone, in the right hand corner of your screen, press the 3 little buttons. It will give you 2 options. Choose Share my closet. Then it'll give you the places you can share your entire closet to such as messanger, email, pinterest, facebook, etc..

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 Or, You can share your items, within the Posh app, to your followers, by going into your closet, click and hold on your item and choose share. It will then allow, you to share to an active party, your followers, singly to your followers, messenger, email and more. Choose my followers to share your items.

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 If you're using a table or computer. Just go into your closet, click on the item, under the picture is a heart or, sign that looks kinda like the recycle icon. Click on the share (recycle icon). That will open the options of where you want to send it such as party, followers, facebook, etc...

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 Ok, when it come sharing, share everything. It's funny, even sold items, help a future buyer to visit a closet to see what's available. Personally, I try to share a set number of items from anyone who shares my items, usually 5-7. But, if someone has shared all of my closet, I do my best to share all of there's.

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 It's sometimes time consuming if they have hundreds of items, so maybe just share the amount of items in your closet, and choose things from the middle or end of there closets where maybe others have just shared the first items. It helps give them more exposure. I tend to share even the I have liked.

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 To like an item, that you may want to purchase at a later time. Also, I've started liking new people I have welcome, like you, so I can go back and share their items again, and again just to help out. You'll find, the more you share the more you sell. Also, it's nice to give back and see others succeed.

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 Etiquette is kinda huge here, people love to share your items and to thank them, go to your news feed (top right). If a person has shared your item, it will show up. Click on it and it will say, "...has shared your item, thank them by..." Click on their name in that screen to go to their closet. Also, everyone loves a personal, thank you from time to time. Leave it on a sold items or meet the seller. Thank them for sharing or following you. (See examples from others there).

julielyons0215 @lynda_johnson thanks so much for ur help! I have one more question if you don’t mind me asking, I hope I am not bothering you too much! One item I have that hasn’t sold so I am thinking about gifting it to a friend, in person not on posh. So I don’t want someone to place an offer after I give it as a gift. So does that mean I delete the entire post for that item? Just trying to abide by the rules. I googled it but didn’t really find no answer. Thanks again !!!!

lynda_johnson @julielyons0215 Great question. I just skimmed the Q&A and briefly went thru the tabs, but, like you I didn't find an answer. If you have some time, I'd contact Poshmark and ask. Otherwise, I think if it was me, I'd change the heading to *Donated* (before the title) and then, mark it not for sale but, leave it on your page. I've seen a few like that recently. Just in case.
