shysilverfox Hi Karen It’s my goal to not be misleading so I appreciate your input on the Dingo boots. Is that a characteristic of that finish on the leather or a production problem? The area was not brittle but definitely darker in many areas and I noticed when looking at other Dingos in this style they showed the same characteristics . I pulled them because it’s my goal to be honest in my representation but I also want to learn. Thank you for your information!

shysilverfox Thanks for your quick reply. These boots might be the ticket for up cycling because they aren’t spotted above the ankle. Great idea!

snappyfox1 @shysilverfox. Are you going to sell them at an upcycling price? I do not have a PM closet. I originally went on PM a month or so ago to look for a replacement for my camel color boots, as mine are quite worn I bought a pair of black for $13 but had to return because they were size 5.5 instead of 6.5 - 7 as marketed. Even though I asked the seller to check the size and told her where it was labeled inside the boot. So I really respect you for trying to market with thoughtfullness of the buyer.

snappyfox1 They were in near perfect condition though, but I wasn't looking to upcycle then. The next pair I bought of this Dingo boot said size 6.5 in black for $10. They were in quite good condition so I kept them even though they were size 7.5 not 6.5 as marketed..( even though they were also labeled inside).

snappyfox1 Please let me know if you relist yours at a cheap price for upcycling. When I click on your boot now it says can't find this listing. For me to find you again it may have to be shown as not for sale or sold. I don't know much about PM but have sent 2 others who have been buying now on this sight. How can I go to your closet when I can't find you through the boots you took off?

snappyfox1 @shysilverfox. This would probably be a good starting point..as you can always deal. There are several pairs of these boots on PM. I think I am the main buyer of them, as I have bought 3 and I got my sister buy 1.

snappyfox1 @shysilverfox Thank you for quick reply. Great thing to do with them. I hope she enjoys them. If you spray them wirh a silicone spray it will protect them from future damage with little darkening.

snappyfox1 Do not use too much leather cleaner/conditioner on them or they will weaken at this point. I have not found a way to remove this discoloration so don't overwork the leather. Saddle soap will clean them a little and put a waxy protective finish to protect them if she plans to wear them. But they will be shinier and you'll need to buff. Thank you for our exchange.

shysilverfox Is there a specific boot spray you prefer?

snappyfox1 @shysilverfox Hi.. sorry I took so long to respond but You took down your listing so I didn't see your question as I am no longer looking at your sales. I usually use any silicone spray for leather (I even use it on suede. The trick is very light coats so you don't get a moisture spot. I let 1 coat dry a few minutes and repeat. I do this about every few months of wear. Several coats may darken things a little but easier to deal with than trying to clean spots off leather. Enjoy

lpoggi Hi, I’m so sorry I had to cancel your order of the boots. They got scratched and I would not feel right selling.
