Thanks for following up! The shoes seem to have been repaired with hot glue on the inside. There weren't remarks about the condition in the description to indicate anything irregular and the pics showed as new so I was surprised at the condition when I got them. The extra glue also makes the inside scratchy where it bubbled out. I've never attempted a return on here so I'm not sure what the process is like, I'm sorry if I didn't go about it right!
