I'm a sales rep, so I have to bring in samples from my suppliers for shows and customer presentations. I work out of my home when I'm not traveling, so I finally rented a big storage unit with climate control. I was taking over my house with work stuff. I can't imagine having all of those products like you have though.

UPS is excellent at losing my shipments. I get so paranoid. Thanks for your lovely rating. Packaging I do my best to ensure all items are secure and don't float around...again...UPS is terrible at times!

rareandunique @kmthomas1977 I don't but much on PM. Mainly because I have so much stuff already. I search out Egyptian themed item on PM only. My entire home is Egyptian. I even have 2 8ft talk sarcophagus of King Tut & Nefertiti in my living room. I would suggest going crazy & putting items in your closet. If anything it will give you money in your PM account to buy things you really want.

kmthomas1977 @rareandunique - My cat, Furgus, is always getting into things. I have to keep my office shut, as he loves to chew on boxes, paper, etc. He's always getting into my work stuff. Then, I have a dog who likes to steal my things, especially my clothes. She's a total klepto.🐕🤣 One time, I was on a sales call with some product samples and realized too late that Furgus had chewed on one of the products pretty bad. It was actually funny.

I'll actually be 42 in less than 2 weeks. I am an independent sales rep for the premium/incentive industry. I've been doing this for almost 19 years. I worked for another sales rep for 15 years and then opened my own firm back in February 2016. I love it, but it's hard sometimes.

rareandunique @kmthomas1977 Gotta love animals! I have a rescue turtle, 2 fish, and a hand-me-down hamster. They are all so spoiled. I saved the 2 fish from Wal-Mart. Other fish were eating them. I didn't realize the fish were Koi's. The one went from 2 inches to 18 inches in a year. She can't turn around in a 55 gal tank. Am trying to find them homes. Turtle gets released back into the wild soon.

I'm a one-woman show right now. I need an assistant, but it's hard to find the right person. I work on commission, so I'm contracted by my suppliers to service a particular sales territory.

The products I sell are used for rewards programs, employee recognition, safety awards, bank card programs, incentive programs, casino sprees, etc. I sell brands like Apple, Dyson, Vera Bradley, Dooney & Bourke, Fitbit, Coleman, etc, etc. I rep 12 different suppliers and over 500 brand names. Some products can be customized with a customer's logo.

It isn't my dream job just works well When I'm away on weld jobs or in farm fields. Hearing about your job actually has me thankful I'm a welder. I weld huge construction equipment and oil industry items. A lot of galvanized steel up to 1 inch thick. I have so many burn scars now.

rareandunique @kmthomas1977 I do a lot of side jobs too. Last year I built 8 large ice fishing houses for a family friends resort he owns. I suggested just using aluminum but he had to have a steel base. I hate mixing metals...so much time changing out wires, feeders, & gases. A paycheck is a pay Check but sometimes bites!

Having a fur child is a privilege, not a right. I feel the same about human children too. There are just some bad people in this world. I'd rescue every animal if I could. I've thought about fostering children, but I'd never be able to give them back...and would probably get too angry at the deadbeat parents.

I wanted to design furniture...nop; got stuck welding for the oil industry. Got good enough I was promoted to weld shop supervisor. Just can't take standing on concrete anymore.

Perhaps not having children have you the time to care for the babies you have. If you would have had one...you most likely wouldn't have your babies. You most likely saved their lives. I fix my own engines, do plumbing, drove a ready-mix truck for 6 yrs, & am forklift certified up to 7 different classes of forklifts. I love being independent. kmthomas1977 @rareandunique - Hi, thanks for asking! Her surgery went well, but she's in a lot of pain tonight. She's on a lot of medication today. I'm hoping she feels better tomorrow. Just left the hospital to check on her. Made sure she ate and all that. She was going back to sleep as I was leaving.
