I'm so sorry that the smell of the hat bothered you! I dry cleaned it before shipping with the Woolite dry cleaner. I personally think the Woolite dry cleaning smells more than I think it should. But, I thought maybe Woolite knows better than me since they make the best products. I appreciate you letting me know! I'll stick to Dryel!
