The rise is the measurement from the back waistband through the legs, to the front waistband. This is what I think it is anyway!

It’s a S but more like a M, if you don’t like it click remove. @mel_noelle I looked at the lining of the pants and they look and feel like silk to me. These were $160 so I’m hoping they are, I know what you mean, they should put ALL material content in the labels. We could probably google that brand and it might tell us, I’ll try that and let you know what I come up with.
