mendykolle @craftycherubs -For shoes if we don’t have original box how do we ship them? Any suggestions for packaging items etc? This is my first time. Thanks for any suggestions!!! :)

maddjaxons @mendykolle Hi there. Good question. For shoes, it depends. If they are small baby / kids shoes, slippers, flip flops (basically light or fabric type shoes) you could wrap them nicely in tissue paper and mail them in a poly bag. If they are larger, heavier shoes (sneakers, high heels) or anything that could rip the bag, I would use a Priority box from the post office (they are free) or another box you have around the house. But since the shipping is paid up to 5 lbs., I always use a box.

mendykolle @craftycherubs what do I do when I have multiple offers? Is it ok for me to choose the highest offer or do I have to take the first offer? This morning I woke to multiple and I don’t know see any etiquette about accepting them. I don’t want to upset anyone. Is it ok for me to take the highest one even if they weren’t first to offer? And do I have to tell the other people I got higher offers. What’s best way to handle that properly?

mendykolle Nm I think I figured it out. Once I accept an offer then it tells the other person it’s sold right? So I don’t really have to explain to them the reason it didn’t get sold to them? I get to pick the offer I want and go with that. Just getting the hang of this ;) Oh also, a person asked me to email them separately to buy one of my items. We aren’t supposed to do that right??

maddjaxons @mendykolle Yes, you did everything right! Excepting the highest offer makes the best sense. If you ever have more than one of the item, you could submit an offer to the second highest bidder to buy that one as well. You are also right, that it is not allowed for someone to ask you to do business outside of Poshmark. Luckily, I haven’t dealt with many scammers on Poshmark, but they are out there. Stay safe within this site, so sales / purchases are protected.

mendykolle @craftycherubs ok that’s what I figured. I didn’t even respond to them since it seemed shady. Thanks for all your help so far- I’ve never sold on a sight like this so just want to get it right!! I already sold four items and getting them ready to ship today. I honestly didn’t think it would go this fast! :) thanks again!
