I saw your comment for some Nike wristbands. I've been having some issues with counterfeit items on Poshmark. I noticed that the style codes you indicated were only on about 25% of the listed wristbands. Does that mean the other 75% are fake?? Let me know if you have any other tips and tricks for spotting fake shit. I can't believe all the counterfeit crap on here because it isn't like the prices are that low, especially after you factor in shipping.

@patrickmims13 Not necessarily. I collect Rafael Nadal's premier wristbands. Before they were sold in retail (starting with Summer of 2013), they were considered "player exclusive" and their availability was very limited. Back then, they were marked with Nike PACxxx-xxx code scheme.

@patrickmims13 Retail versions had the scheme NNN51-xxx (Europe) or NNN33-xxx (US). The current scheme is N000. Once you have premier nylon-based wristbands, you quickly learn to differentiate them from cotton-based ones based on the texture (pretty recognizable in decent quality pictures).

@patrickmims13 Over the years, I also painstakingly collected the original Nike product code numbers for individual wristbands, and I usually ask about them before I make a purchase. Did I fall prey to counterfeit ones? I did, few times but I consider it a learning cost :)
