lulyanaxt hello! i’m new to poshmark and noticed you did a great job of calling out a scammer page (one that had commented on my listings and almost had me fooled). i was wondering how you could tell the difference between a real buyer and a fake. I’m nervous about getting scammed so any tips help ☺️!

_n_i_c_o_l_e_1_ @lulyanaxt Hi. That is one that has been going around for a while, so it was easy to spot. One piece of advice I would give is to NEVER ever agree to transact outside of the app or if they want to pay more than you have listed an item for. Best of luck 😊

_n_i_c_o_l_e_1_ @lulyanaxt Also never communicate outside of the app to an email address. It’s unfortunate but there are more scammers out there than legit people wanting to buy.

lulyanaxt @littledog97 oh i’m currently communicating with someone through email but they’re are asking for the link of the listing to purchase through the app. they’ve got a star on their profile (i think it means verified account)

_n_i_c_o_l_e_1_ @lulyanaxt At the end of the day if the transaction happens through Poshmark that’s what matters. If someone asks me to email i pics i update the posting with the new pics and let the buyer know to check there.
