A good rule of thumb is to not lowball when making offers. 50% off the asking price is completely unfair to the seller and even less than that is to the point of being personally insulting. We all love a good deal but we have to respect each other's business. Don't offer less than 20%. For example 20% off $75 is $60 not $25.
