cityofangels007 hey Tyler, i just want to let you know that i understand your frustration regarding the two different midsole bearing the words "BAPE" and "APE. i am a collector myself and i started way back when every rapper were stitching Louis and Gucci fabric on their AF1's. i noticed this phenomenon (BAPE or APE) as well. based on my experience.

cityofangels007 i have a few Marvel X BAPE collaborations and the midsole states "APE" these were released during the early 2000's. most of the bapestas have the midsole with "APE". a also have some store exclusives and most of the midsoles are "BAPE".

cityofangels007 one quick google from your browser will show you what im talking about. try to google "A BATHING APE BAPESTA AOYAMA EDITION". youll noticed what is emblazoned on the midsoles. the particular bapesta you were referring to was part of the 2009 Bapesta Lame Pack Glitter .

cityofangels007 if you google and see other sellers selling their cotton candy colorway, you will be enlighten. lastly, are you familiar with the 2009 Bapesta Ostrich Skin pack? kindly confirm as well what kind of of words they bear on the midsole. A Bathing Ape is a brand that is heavy on the "attention to details" side of things. its just maybe a difference of one letter depending on their design. its a generation thing, some Yeezys have the pull tab, some other versions they dont.

cityofangels007 my best guess? maybe the early 2000's version carries the "APE" on the midsoles and the 2008 and above versions have the "BAPE". check the upcoming releases this August what kind of words they have on their midsoles. the cotton candy bapesta that i have listed are rare because the words "BAPE" have different colors on every letter. are you familiar with the Kanye West Bapesta with the bear?

cityofangels007 it says "APE" and each letters have different colors as well. i own the BAPE tee exclusive from Hong Kong store grand opening, the neck tags of that tee is completely different from the neck tags of the early 2000's as well. its a generation thing. with all the designers and artist we have now, you cant stick to one design concept. especially the major players of the Jap fashion brands with the likes of NBHD and Mastermind Japan to name a few
