Meet your Posher, Vandy

Hi, I’m Vandy H. Hall, a multi-media artist from the Portland Oregon area. I have been a self-employed artist since the age of 22. I love teaching and have been teaching classes and workshops through our local parks and recreation department, through non-profits, at at sci-if/fantasy conventions, maker fairs, and by appointment since then. Before Covid Doom started, I regularly exhibited my art at shows and I was incredibly honored to win Best in Show at Worldcon in SanJose in 2018 for my felted “Octohat.” I also won Grand Champion for my felted artwork at Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival in 2016. During Covid lockdown, my business basically was put on hold as in-person gatherings, classes, and events were canceled. While I did try to work on my online presence, it was not a replacement for connecting with friends and fans, and the pandemic, our health problems, and constant stress which quashed productivity, basically decimated my business. This story (and closet) is about me bouncing back. My housemate has a closet on Poshmark, and helped me realize that I should try listing my wares here as well as on Etsy (which for current event reasons I will be trying to phase out). I’m crossing my fingers, working on building up an inventory, and am excited to see what happens! Thank you so much for checking out my closet! <3
