Hi! I’m Michele and I’m starting over from scratch with my life and my wardrobe! I left my husband and 14 years of clothing behind. It’s actually really fun doing it this way because you don’t have to deal with the whole…do I toss it? Keep it? Give away? Sell? I left in a sweatshirt, Nike leggings, and converse. I did not have even take a bag. Pretty bold move, leaving all my makeup behind if you ask me! The last couple of months I’ve been overwhelmed in the best way at the kindness of strangers. If you’re reading this and you’re finding yourself feeling isolated and trapped in a situation, more people will understand you than you think. If you’ve adapted to, or normalized putting yourself last always…you still can change your mindset. If you’re with someone who doesn’t value you, there’s a friend out there for you who can make YOU see your own worth. Once you start to realize that you’re not ready to just quit being you, hold onto that. Let that feeling fester and multiply. One day when you’re able to look at what you went through from a distance, you will see what your friends & family have seen in you your whole life. All the things you’ve been told you will never achieve, you’ll realize it was all a lie. You can make peace with all the wasted years because your story needs to be told. Someone else needs to know your journey so they are strong enough to continue their own. Trust yourself. Know your own moral compass, stick to it, and let that be your guide.
