Murano Glass Red White Stripe Blown Glass Heart Trinket Box Floral Clasp VTG

Interesting Murano glass trinket box in red and white latticino stripes. Two part box with brass trim and clasp on the cut edges. This one has a heart and flowers clasp which is less common. Beautiful detail, I think this would make a lovely container for an engagement ring proposal. In my research I found that the glass hearts were made in Murano and the metal trim/clasp was attached in France. I could not determine its age. Approx size: 2.75" w x 3.5" h x 1.5" d Condition: This has a manufacturing defect (see photos) which I have considered in the price (these typically sell much higher. There is a missing piece of glass in one spot which was probably a burst air bubble. This is not sharp and is polished over so it must have happened when it was made but I wanted to point it out. Keats said "A thing of beauty is a joy forever". Each of us has a different idea of what "beauty" is. I find unique vintage items and offer them to you, the beholder.
