shopper43535 @timsouza I agree! This is a hard to find scarf in this color. I haven’t seen any that are brand new, never worn. I’ve considered keeping it and having it framed.

mctlaura Can you share a photo of the Hermès copyright mark? It should be in the upper left hand corner ~ more or less diagonal from the artist’s signature, which is in the lower right hand corner. Thank you!

mctlaura My scarf just arrived. It’s beautiful, but I wanted to let you know that it’s definitely been worn. An unworn scarf has a special feel ~ very crisp ~ because of the sizing that Hermes uses in their factory. The fold lines retain their crispness too. Even if the scarf sits in the box in a closet for many years, it won’t lose that feeling of newness. I would bet money that this one has been dry cleaned as well. I have to admit I’m disappointed because I thought I was buying a never-worn scarf.

mctlaura And I paid as much as I did because I thought it was unworn. I wouldn’t expect PM to catch the fact that the scarf has been worn ~ in my experience their authentication team knows very little about H silks.

mctlaura Only the center fold remains ~ a sure sign that the scarf has been worn and dry cleaned. (With the dry cleaners ironing in the center fold.)

mctlaura And a bit of the central side fold ~ but the traditional 16-panel fold that one expects in a new unworn scarf is gone, Now your Samuel Champlain scarf does look like it still has all 16 panels and may indeed be unworn.
