thebotanist @polkadotposherm Hey there! The dress arrived yesterday. Thanks for sending it to quickly. I wanted to point out to you that the dress is not made of linen, as advertised. It's too bad because I was really looking for a dress made from natural fabric. The dress fits me well and I think that I will ultimately keep it. polkadotposherm @thebotanist I’m so sorry! I have been making a few mistakes lately! I’m glad it fits you. I work for an NGO www.deepbluecleanup.com. I’ve learned that second hand does tend to release less microplastics into our waters. The best thing to do is to get a lint trap for your washer as well if you don’t already. But again I’m so sorry and if you’d like a return, I’m all about making things right. Have a great day!

thebotanist @polkadotposherm Ah, so you understand. As an ecologist, I am concerned over microplastics, as well. I live in a 200 year old house and we're on a greywater system that cannot be retrofitted - our laundry machine outlets down an embankment into a small wetland and I don't want the frogs ingesting any microplastics. Keep on doing the good work that you do @ deepbluecleanup! No worries about missing the fabric content - these days we all have a lot of things that weigh heavy on our minds. <3

polkadotposherm @thebotanist I’m actually just putting in a proposal to the government for funding to place my seabins in areas containing grey ship water. This is actually my NGO which I started right before covid and it’s been very slow as a result. I’m putting one seabin in a marina in Ottawa and planning my next steps at the moment.

polkadotposherm If you think there’s a marina in your area with room for a seabin, let me know and I can contact the marina to ask if they’re interested. You too, keep up the amazing work you’re doing 🥰❤️again, I can’t believe I missed that. I just assumed it was linen. I assume I know my fabrics but I was wrong!!! Thanks for being so understanding.

polkadotposherm Also what kind of ecology work do you do? So cool! :). I’m definitely aiming to get microplastics up to 2 mm out of our waters and seabin Australia is working on filtering out even smaller microplastics in the near future.
