So versatile and can be dressed up or down! Wearable Art. This is a ruched silk Cocoon Jacket in purple by Richard K. Tsao. One Size. Size S - XL (no size label in these jackets). The fabric ruching (gathering) is sewn with elastic thread allowing it to stretch to fit multiple sizes. This jacket is a classic Richard Tsao design. Made from yards of handwoven Thai silk fabric shirred into a jacket with elastic thread on the ruching. Thai silk fabric is handwoven on traditional looms with one color thread for the warp and another color thread for the weft. The fabric catches and reflects light beautifully. This is Tsao's signature Cocoon style that allows one size to fit many shapes. It is sold at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Asia Society, the Metopolitan Opera and the Guggenheim Museum.
