@shopdoe It was fun, thanks! Glad you like them. I thought you might enjoy seeing the "after" pictures, they're like brand new boots!! The zippers were especially time consuming.
I'm trying a custom crackle finish on another pair of old Docs next week. Hmm ... I might be addicted? :)

@heatflashin Thanks! It's not dye, it's leather paint from Dick Blick's. It's great stuff, but it takes forever because you have to lay down very thin coats until it's opaque. Otherwise, it looks all streaky. These took about seven coats of paint, plus three layers of sealer.
