Please note: dress has been hemmed and some of that fabric was used to add some extra coverage around the cleavage. That coverage can be easily removed by a tailor, and the fabric leftover from the hem is still in tact and will be included with the dress. It can likely be re-attached for extra length if needed. Can you provide length measurements of the dress as it is currently hemmed? And also the cape if that is a different length? Also, is the bodice structured (boning, etc)?

@autumnwk hi! I’m honestly not great at measuring, but I’d say both the dress and the cape are approx. 55 inches at the current length. There is minimal/light boning in the bodice - it’s there but not super noticeable if that makes sense. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions!

Also, the original photos of the dress from Oscar de la Renta does not look like it has a Sheen to it. Does this dress have a shimmering sparkly Sheen to it?

@reginaolmstead it’s honestly hard to tell on the hanger but, as mentioned in the comments above, both measure around approx. 55 inches.

@npruben that’s what I was trying to discern because the train is supposed to be longer in the back and trail, but I couldn’t tell if she cut it off to be the same length of the dress. My thoughts are it would be harder to sew back on the train because it would be so visible , thoughts?

@reginaolmstead also, in the second to last picture posted, you can see that the cape does still look longer than the dress itself when it's on the body (that is my mom wearing the actual dress in that photo)
