myvanityreplay I like your disclosure and I am not saying that bc I want to use it, I just appreciate how upfront you are- If you don't mind me asking you a question, I hope that this doesn't sound dense, but since this is the 1st listing in your closet then this is the last one that you have to share each time you share your listings, correct?

myvanityreplay I have been selling on Posh for 17 months & it just seems like there has to be easier way to organize your listings then having to sharing with your followers each time you just want to move around listings on your pg, but that's what I have been told.

I got this from another user that was so nice in sharing with the same guidelines ☺️ I don’t actually share it I just “edit it” but don’t change anything. I wish there was a better way. I normally just wait until I’m ready to share my closet or a category in my closet to start rearranging my listings when I add new things. There should definitely be an easier way to move stuff around without sharing😞

lizbathory @eyesome oh gurl me too! Lighting. I live in an apartment too and am trying to figure out a set up in our spare room still and it’s driving me crazy! I get great natural light everywhere in my apartment except the bedrooms 🤦‍♀️ and then a good way to store stuff that will fit in the small area I have that is also inexpensive. I’ll let you know if I find anything!

Instagram I’ve just started following people that resell for tips on what sells/sourcing/etc. I would love to turn this into a full time thing eventually. I’ve just really started looking into lighting and like how to take food flat lays vs mannequins vs wall hangs etc but I’m really just getting into that part of the research. I’ll shoot anything your way I find though for sure

myvanityreplay You sound like your in the same situation as me as far as storage- I have a photo box for my small items bc I do sell mostly makeup & skincare even though hardly none of it is posted right now bc I just haven't had the time, but I don't have really any clothes posted bc of the photo issue😥 I did everything that you're doing, as far the flat lay pics, but I want to be able to take pics hanging, idk, hopefully you & I will soon have Posh empire built & we'll be posting our own videos 😊💰📷❤😊

I have back problems, so it’s hard to like get up and down all the time to position stuff, etc. And I hope so too! I can absolutely relate, girl, people don't understand how much pain just wrapping up my packages is bc I do it standing at my desk- I was going to get one where the height adjusts, but didn't & totally regret it now- Yes, knowledge is power & I would be happy to share with you info, especially bc you have such great items in your closet & you're so personable, you're going to be great on here 😊

Then I saw your discussion about lighting...I purchased my mannequin, back drop and frame from Amazon. They also sell photography lighting that is slim and long to solve the light issue. I ordered a light kit from eBay and then got a message a day or two ago letting me know the seller I purchased from was suspicious so they removed his listing and I have to file a claim for my item 🤦‍♀️ just a reminder that amazon is generally better and faster lol. I found an article online for like 10 different text apps so I’m working my way through the list, I’ll let you know if any are decent. Thanks again🖤💕

bitsys_closetxx Bummer! I just had a similar issue with a purchase I made being sent to me defective. 😉 With electronics I prefer to buy new from amazon, it’s safer and you don’t have to guess...there are so many reviews to guide you.

Stuff happens but yeah amazon is normally my go to for that kind of stuff, I’m just bummed I waited like a week and half for something I could have just paid a little more to have in 2 days lol. Lesson learned for sure

lizbathory @adamsfmly4 Anytime💕 Yeah I’ve used reddit for a lot of my Poshmark questions too, mostly starting out and then just try to share what I know or what I’ve learned through that and trial and error while I’ve been trying this out. The only thing I’ve really had to deal with is a low ball offer every once in a while, but I always counter and half the time it works out and the other half I just move on.

I just had someone screenshot on of the posts I made and use my words exactly in her post! Then a few days later she shared from my closet. Lol 😂 I figured Oh well I guess it was bound to happen. Then a PFF saw it & tagged me while she was yelling at her. 🤦🏻‍♀️ She was very nice and apologetic about it. So since I followed your rules may I use this in my closet?

lizbathory @karliita18 the one above just screen shot and then crop to a square so it will fit the screen when you post it. Then when it asks for like cost and stuff you should be able to select not for sale. Some people on here put like a super high/low dollar amounts on things when they don’t want to actually sell them but I never like to run the risk of someone accidentally hitting purchase, or it counting towards my inventory dollar amount.

lizbathory @kjr61 no worries, it takes a few steps.. first screen shot the pictures, then crop them into the square just like you would for a regular listing. Once you’ve done that, you create a new listing and add the pictures. Then at the bottom there will be an option to list the item as not available for sale so that no one tries to purchase it by accident.
