From the Ring collection, this great porcelain mug design is based on the style of famous artist Piet Mondrian. As with the coffee, tea and soft drink cups in the same series, the silicone ring around the middle of the cup allows you to hold your hot drink comfortably, without needing a handle. Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter and important contributor to the De Stijl art movement and group, which was founded by Theo van Doesburg. He evolved a non-representational form which he termed Neo-Plasticism. This consisted of white ground, upon which was painted a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the three primary colors. Frank Kerdil is a mutiple award-winning Danish designer.
