I started my Closet because I love clothes. I have daughters who now are wearing pieces I've owned since before they were born. I also love sustainable practices. There's a huge part of our planet, the ocean, that is contaminated with microfibers. There's no reason to throw something away that might be useful to others. @bravesfan19 I spent a lot of time organizing space for prepping and listing items. I steam all the clothes the day before I want to list them and just use my phone and the app to photograph everything in the same spot around the same time of day due to lighting. Thankfully, the app can save listings as a draft, so you can take photos first then finish the rest later.

Once, I'm done listing them, I fold and store them in these awesome big totes labeled by category. Before I ship them, I inspect them again then package them. I try to list before a Party to share. I'll also share other Closets in parties even if I don't have something, because people are really great about sharing❤.

Hi there! First, I just want to say that I'm really inspired by your closet. I'm about to start my closet and had a quick question that I was hoping you could shed some insight into:
How did u create an image for your header WHILE keeping your pic in a circle? (hope this makes sense). When I changed my profile photo, it also made my photo as the image/banner, whereas I wanted a different image. I also tried Canva but it doesn't let me do an image AND keep my photo in a circle. Thanks so much!!

@irena73 Hi there! Thanks so much for the compliment😊. The background photo was created first. I saved it then took a screenshot of it. I manipulated the pic by decreasing the size and moving it to fit how I want it. Hope this helps!

I knew that you can take pics within the app but heard that they come out better if taken separately with the phone and uploaded on the computer...did you try that method? If you aren't a member of a Facebook Poshmark group, you should definitely join. Lots of helpful people and incite. However, I would not pay attention to brags about how much a Closet is making. There are too many variables to compare to your own Closer.

I do have a HUGE TIP for you, though! The name you choose that shows up on your background should not have any emoji as your first character and use words that do not start at the 2nd half of the alphabet. That would put your CLOSET NAME at the end of Every one of your Followers LISTS.

I’m currently looking at apps that will enable you to organize and share your closet without the manual sharing of each listing, but can’t find one that’s reasonably priced and works well enough. Can I ask you how you share? What have you found to be most effective? Thanks again! I’ll look into the FC group, too!

@irena73 Poshmark will stop bots from sharing too much. Have you though about hiring a virtual assistant to share your closet? There are all sorts of apps listing people like that. When I list something, I use the filters to find people who might like it. Then I follow then hoping they'll follow me, because they like my Closet. Even if they don't buy, I still share there l their items. It's a nice way to help each other out.

@bazaargirl . Yes, I heard that bots are sometimes blocked, but others say they let them run overnight...there are just mixed messages so it's confusing. I haven't considered "hiring" an assistant as I'm just about to start out and need to keep expenses to a minimum :-) I wanted to keep the closet organized by categories (tops, pants, accessories), but suspect that sharing manually will eventually mess up that order...I'll experiment :-) Thanks again for ALL your tips!!!! Oh, and I forgot to ask: When you say you use filters to find people who might like the listing you're putting up. What filters exactly are you turning on? Could you please explain. @bazaargirl What I like about Poshmark is learning about people. I love the closets that are really personal. There’s one that’s my favorite if you wanna know which one I’ll tell you. It’s just so nice to learn about people around the country many of whom are so genuine. What I don’t like about Poshmark are people who just want to sell stuff. It’s unfortunate. But I never give a bad review. I don’t see the point. All the best and love your photos!

@bazaargirl Hi! I saw that you put a painting by artist Catherine Y… in a “bundle”. Because of the size/weight of the item PM has stipulated that there are extra shipping charges. Therefore, I am not at liberty to offer a discount like PM requires. If you want to offer a tad less for the painting you may send an offer. However, I know for a fact that these are priced very reasonably.

@candicemg2 When you list a Reproduction of Rembrandt Peale's Thomas Jefferson painting for $15,000 as the real thing, it's illegal. Anyone can take a Google screenshot of your listing and see that the original is at the White House!

@candicemg2 I hate to tell you, but if someone was ignorant enough about art paid your $15,000, the painting would go to Poshmark FIRST for authentication before it goes to the buyer. Poshmark would be legally required to report your listing to the FBI. Your painting is beautiful but the website selling copies of the original states they are copies. Your listing doesn't. That's a scam.

And listing such an item at that price with your wording suggests that you mean to have someone believe it was painted by Rembrandt Peale. Your listing is no different than the LV, GUCCI, Dior reproduction listings advertising as the real thing. It's deceptive.

"Item gently loved for it's age" and Listing heading, "Rembrandt Peale Oil Painting of Thomas Jefferson" all of which says nothing about being a reproduction. Perhaps, you misunderstood the use of the word "reproduction" in the verbage you borrowed.
