sallynrn My name is Sally and I love Poshmark. I went thru some very trying times about 4 years ago. I became very sick and nearly died (well I actually did die but came back). I worked as a RN for over 25 years and my job was my life. I lost my job and myself. I have been struggling for the last 4 years. I had lost my social network and I felt all my friends. Finding poshmark has been great for me, I am able to list my jewelry and hopefully sell it but most importantly meeting wonderful people has done so much good for me. I fell connecfting afgain to something. Thank you to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

sallynrn @mabills23 It is easy to do, just go to anyones closet then look at any item in the bottom right corner you will see two arrows, click or touch those arrows and a box will come up to share the item.

sallynrn @mabills23 You can also share your own closet, that is really the best way to advertise your items. Going to the parties and sharing others closets help too because then most of the people that you shared their closet will then go into your closet and share which gets your items exposure. You want to strive for as many followers as you can get. That way when you or others share your closet all you followers get those shares on their feed. Hope this helps

I have been on poshmark since February and have do pretty good. The extra money helps a lot but what I like is the connection to new great people. What kind of nursing do you do. I was a case manager before I got sick

capecodterry I work in our community hospital on the ortho/neuro floor. It is great but heavy at times. I lost 8 hours a week so I started this for fun and a few extra bucks here and there. Eventually my parents may move in with us from Florida, so I am starting to clean out the closets to make room!😃

It is a nice social network as well as a way of making money. You have a lot of beautiful items in your closet. I'm just getting started too. I've enjoyed all the nice interactions with the different sellers. Hey I do have a question if you don't mind, do you have a vendor you purchase your jewelry through? I've been wanting to add jewelry to my closet but just haven't been able to find a way to purchase it so I can turn around and sell it in my closet.

sallynrn @virtualboutique Thank you for your kind words. I have been on poshmark since feb and I love it and the people I've had the pleasure to meet. I get my jewelry from different venues, ebay, poshmark, tradsey, I have a EIN so I go through wholesalers. However there are many wholesalers that don't require an employer Id Number (EIN). You can do a search on wholesale jewelry and you will gfet a lot of options. I hope this helps.

sallynrn @virtualboutique Yes some wholesalers offer LOTS where you get so many pieces of jewelry for a certain price. I don't do that, I so much enjoy the looking for jewelry, I buy a piece at a time. This month will be the first month that I actually bought two of a certain necklace that I had before and had a lot of interest in from the posh gals. I think you just have to play it by ear. You can buy some real nice jewelry for $7 to $10 and sell for twice to three times that.

sallynrn @savannnners You have a gfreat closet and you will start selling things. Make sure you are sharing your closet as much as possible, I usually share mine 2 x a day. once in the morning and then at the 9pm party. Get lots of followers, by going out there and following others. Good luck.

aznana Seems we have a lot more in common than Poshmark too ! I am a medically retired LVN....3 yrs ago had a major surgery for a tumor in my face....almost did not come out of that 7 hr surgery ! Have residual issues so it makes it difficult to go back to work. Poshing is new to me and addictive !! I have listed things in my closet but have probably bought more than what I have to offer ! So learning how to make this into a profiting thing would be very helpful to me ! Anyway you can direct me ?

sallynrn @aznana I am trying to do the same thing make it profitable. It is kind of hard because poshmark takes that 20%. I think what a lot of people do is by lots which is a large amount of cloths or jewelry or handbags for much lower price. Liquidation.com is one place where you can buy a "lot" of handbags say for $640 but you get 100 handbags with retail price of 5000. I use wholesalers but alot of places require a resale lic. Look on the interfnet there is lots of info. On poshmark the main thing is to share you closet and share others closet to draw them to you merchandise. Do as many of the parties as possible and again share you things and others things. Do your research on the internet for buying wholesale.

meghanpaige I was just reading through the comments and @sallynrn, you give great advice. I am still very new to this website and really trying to make sure I understand the process of selling before I dive in. Can I ask you this Question that Posh Customer service couldn't answer for me? My question is: When they send you the mailing label to stick to your box to send to a buyer, are you supposed to get the buyer's address? Or, is it already on that label they e-mail to you? I'm so confused how that part works! Please help and thank you in advance! I want to start small w/ 1-3 items in my closet, but I want to make sure I know what the heck I'm doing first :-)

sallynrn @meghanpaige The address is on the packaging label they email to you. They get the buyers info when they purchase your item. You just print out the label and tape it to your package. You can get priority boxes sent to your home if you order the boxes from USPS, the boxes are free.. Then you just take your package to the post office or have them pick it up at your home. Hope this helps
