I'm a seller that always answers questions and encourage questions but don't sell something even after I've given detailed answers. It's irritating on my end too especially when I've held things. However I understand what you are saying because I have badly wanted 2 or 3 items on posh and nevery received an answer at all. I've realized that sometimes it's because the Posher hasn't been on in months or even years and left their closet open.

I'll let you in on somethING I figured out..if they don't answervquestons it's because they don't know the answer because they don't have the item. ChecK if it's a stock photo only. If I use a stock photo I always also post a pic of the actual item.

EXACTLY! When a potential buyer asks me a question, I try to reply as quick as possible; if I'm not around said item at the time, I let them know I'll answer their question as soon as I can at least. I've had that happen to me a few times when wanting to purchase something, too, it's frustrating!

@jessbrown091980 ...I agree. A lot of these closets are inactive and posh should delete them. It’s frustrating to be interested in an item but not able to purchase because the seller no longer uses the app.

@jessbrown091980 Amen 😃! Poshmark provides the ability to put your closet “on vacation”, sadly, many Poshers don’t realize this. Also, I think it depends on how much experience/belief they have in the customer service industry. Before I was diagnosed with MS, I always held a leadership position in customer service for 33 years. Despite sleeping a lot nowadays, I ALWAYS answer within 24 hrs!

@jessbrown091980 ...it helps when buyers start their question with the “@“ & ΡosherΝame so the seller will get a notification (like I did at the beginning of this comment by noting your Posher Name). I’m sad to hear you’ve had bad experiences in the past. Your thought is spot on: the seller obviously doesn’t care about selling if they don’t respond

I wish Poshmark would start removing old listings from inactive sellers. Recently, Poshmark hired a guy from Amazon…I saw some improvements. I hope they’ll start phasing out inactive listings and sellers. It’s very disappointing to order something & have it be unfulfilled & then have to wait for the funds to be returned.

@alwaysposhible That’s a VERY good point! Also Poshmark is working on a direct messaging system…I’m not sure when that is coming, but it’s really needed. I can’t wait!

@cottagegifts Yes, the direct messaging is now in place. When the buyer receives their package & something isn’t as described, they can message the buyer vs. accepting the item(s) - it’s on the same page. The buyer & seller can communicate directly until the issue is solved
