I’d been sharing since I started in May without any guidance. 2 weeks ago it occurred to me that with jewelry I need to find peeps that have money to spend..my target market! I started going to posh parties in the Luxury section. I look to see if the person has lots of followers then I share 6-10 items. At that point I had 8500 followers. This weekend it was 13,000. Yesterday 15,000. This morning 15,600!

designingdeb @terridelo when their followers then follow me, I do the same sharing..even if they don’t have a closet!! Everyone said not to bother. But I’ve found out, they’re buyers being ignored!! Now I make it to 2 parties a day and my phone just blows up with followers all day long! 600 today!!

designingdeb @terridelo it was slow at first but even if some people simply follow me then I share with them, it seems my ‘reach’ has multiplied beyond any number I could have imagined. I’ve learned a lot looking at their closets. The reason for 6-10 is it’s almost a guilt trip to share even if they don’t usually share! If someone’s target is maternity and kids, go there. But again buying rich folks kids things is cool!! Thoughts??

designingdeb @terridelo anything I can do to engage them to chat...bonus! I have gotten two custom bracelet jobs for several bracelets! If you try it let me know how it goes! In the next couple of days I’ll have doubled followers in under three weeks it took 8 months to get the first half!! If only I’d known!! Lol!!

terridelo @designingdeb Great ideas! I do some of that myself. Follow everyone who follows strong Poshers. Another trick... go to the “about” on a strong poshers page and scroll down to the love notes. I follow and share each love note author. My thinking is, these are people who buy. I find that many of them don’t sell. It’s a great way to find buyers. I also periodically go through my own love notes and share. My thinking is to remind them of the great experience they had with me.

designingdeb @terridelo I design a lot of it. If I buy it it has to meet criteria I set so my client looks awesome in it! I designed a Swarovski set for a client and dragged her in and out of my house to see the color on her skin and the ‘pop’! At the gala the ‘diamond’ ladies were all over HER jewelry! I like quality, good deal, & stunning results. I buy ‘test’ jewelry to make sure it is/does what it says it will do. I love working with people!! Designing their dreams!

designingdeb @terridelo I also believe in educating consumers. I have a bad reaction to some metals. Most people who have this reaction don’t know what those metals are! If I see ‘alloy’ I say next. Or copper, zinc and some others. It’s not just a finger turning black or green but actual sores. Or who knew CZs can be a great alternative to diamonds. And not all CZs are cheap jewelry. Sometimes it’s the best option!

designingdeb @terridelo I’ve just finished putting up 5 listings on CZs vs diamonds, how much markup there is in jewelry and how that works, and buying as close to the source as possible allow you to have more for less! Like a couple’s 25th anniversary occurs when 2-3 kids are in college. It doesn’t have to be missed. High quality, fine cut CZs in 18k gold might be $1500-2000...but cheaper than 4 x that! Win-win! No insurance needed and give it to robber! Lol!😜
