I haven’t been selling on here too long but it helped me - I will make sure I always have pics of the actual item even though I have some shots with stock pics, too. Btw I also try to read love notes - if there are NO ❤️ love notes on a seller (that’s been selling for a while ) I begin to question it. Have a great evening 💐 Candice

flippingphenom If you change the rating to five stars, it will show up on this sellers love notes. Otherwise, no one will see how this particular seller operates. I would add a disclaimer that five stars only so other buyers could see your bad experience. Sorry this happened to you! 😞

_hey_gorgeous_ So sorry this happened to you. I purchased a LV on a different site. It was actually authenticated per the site. I have never Ans will never own anything fake. I work hard to have the jcir things I want. Like my Audi S5 convertible. So when I went to resell the LV the lady purchasing had a different company authentic it which then they decided it was in fact a very good fake. I was mortified. I wouldn’t have posted for sale knowing that. Plus now I’m out thousands myself

gmaiolini I have purchased multiple items and only had one bad experience. You can dispute things with PM customer service if this happens again but I hope it does not. I think in your case you would have gotten a refund. I have gotten smart remarks when I've asked for clearer pictures or for more pictures but I still ask.

I put up stock pictures so everyone can see what it really looks like But, I always add my pics to show it’s real, I have it and I love reading reviews before I purchase! erikaleebee this place is full of fakes and scammers. gotta report them when you see them. if you see a designer bag for much less than what they are worth, then it is a knock of. i see LV, Gucci etc bags selling for between $75 to $350 these need to go away.

klosetfox I’m most certainly saddened by this happening to you. There’s some desperate people here which makes it hard for the genuine, thoughtful sellers. This happened to me. I just kept the bags, donated and never purchased from the seller again. Didn’t even give them 2 stars I gave them 5 with my sincerest less than a love note in words on their page because only 5 star reviews show on the sellers page. Happy poshing💕🦊

jacmarrod1 Thanks for sharing your experience. I love handbags, and the same has happened to me. I purchased a wallet in Posh and was so disappointed. The leather was peeling, and the fabric was dirty. I personally have a huge collection of handbags that I purchased in stores. Many I never used, so now I'm starting to let go of them. I try to take many pictures and be very descriptive, not only with my handbags but the other items in my closet as well.

suzansellz Oh that’s terrible! I’m new to Poshmark and I had no idea how many scams and scammers are running rampant! I’ve had a few run ins myself… Buuut on the subject of real, genuine leather- allll of my leather items are 100% authentic. They are what they say they are, down to the clarification of source animal whether it’s lamb skin or bovine (cow) leather. So feel free to shop my closet with confidence! 🤗😸🤗 I tend to over describe and frequently have to edit my posts down to the character limit lol

Like, I don’t want a vegan to be horrified by a real leather jacket I sent them when they were expecting pleather lol! People should get what they pay for, which is what was described in the listing, exactly… in my humble opinion 😉

bradleygirl7 Hello thank you for your input , I purchased an LV from a seller on Poshmark believing it was authentic I decided to re posh it was too large of a LV for me. Poshmark informed me that it was not authentic, and I was not allowed to sell this LV they allowed her to sell it to me and now I’m stuck with it and out of the money. Unfair

drue4321 I am glad you learn lessons. When I see don’t see multiple pics & video red flag, I move on. I give detail descriptions so buyer don’t have to ask me a lot of questions. For expensive items, I like to see authentic in description. I own everything I sale which why I can give history on my things. Be mindful, Sellers get scammed too. When I first started, I was a twice victim. I fought & file small claims. Thank for sharing your experience.

drue4321 Bad Sellers & Buyers are bad for Poshmark Community all around. As a seller & buyer, I research every account. A big concern for me is when I see a buyer or seller on PM for years without one purchase or no rating. Another Red Flag for me. I move on & spend my money elsewhere. Scams are high on PM, everyone need to be careful. Happy Holidays
