Time to throw away those bleach stained sweats and slip into something more comfortable. This is a rare opportunity to have a complete lounge wear set from WW2. Vintage pieces mean vintage quality. She’s survived 80 years but not without a few stains on the front left, see picture. Perfect for pinup photoshoots if the marks can be photoshopped or for a period enthusiast to wear around the house.

Hi there. Lovely blue, what makes you think the set is from the 1940's? The serged edges and waistband style makes me think 80's does 40s/50s . . . ? Any labels? These things can be difficult to make out via photos so thanks in advance. ; )

@drretro The serger or overlock was invented in 1881 by the Marrow (hence an alternative name) Machine Company. These sets were very common as gifts brought home from WW2. It does have a vintage tag and it’s my mistake for not including the picture. If you’re serious about purchasing I’d be happy to upload it specifically for you!

I did not know that about the serger! Always good to add to my fashion knowledge. I am still considering and would love to see the label if you are so inclined, thank you. Have you tried soaking/oxy-ing yet? Thinking how she might be freshened up. Thanks again!

@drretro I just uploaded a picture of the tag! Now that I’m looking at it I’m questioning it to be later but not as far as the 80s. Having care tags were introduced in the 60s. Standardized care tags with the little symbols became law in 1971 so I don’t believe it to be later than that but perhaps a decade before. I have not tried to soak her but I have ran her up to the dry cleaner recently. If your intention is to soak her I’d work with you on the price.
