SOLD***This vintage sterling silver Judith Ripka ring is extremely rare. I have never seen it on resale websites before. I purchased it years ago on QVC. It no longer fits me. It is approximately a size 6.75-7. Weighs 15 gms. It has a large elongated octagon cut bezel set blue topaz as the focal point. There is a tiny diamond on each side of the topaz. All 3 gems are genuine. This is a large, hefty, sterling silver ring in beautiful preloved condition. Wow! No lowball offers please!

Hi Catgirl, I actually have this ring-was my MIL’s. (I don’t sell on PM) I was thinking that I would just go to our neighborhood jeweler and try to sell this, but did not want to get ripped off. Do you have anything official from Judith Ripka that shows these are actual diamonds and or original price?
I just wanted as much information as I could before I went down there. I hope you don’t mind me asking. Thanks in advance. Good luck to you in all your sales.

@micheleg009 I don't have the original documentation from QVC. I would only advise you to sell to jewelry stores or pawn shops if you desperately need the money or you have a large estate of jewelry to sell. They will only pay you for the weight of the silver, a little more if the piece is designer & in excellent resale condition for them. They test for genuine diamonds, but these are just diamond chips, so no real value to them. And blue topaz is a relatively abundant & inexpensive gem.

@micheleg009 I would try selling it online if you have the time & patience to do it & don't need the money right away. That's how I got started. I have sold on other sites too but Posh is the easiest one.

Thank you so much for your time. Do you mind saying what you paid for it originally?
I appreciate your advice. I have never done PM.… Was wondering if they charged a lot of fees. I have done about 20 random things on Etsy and that hasn’t been too difficult, but they do charge fees for every little thing.

@micheleg009 For sales under $15, the fee is a flat rate of $2.95. For sales above $15, the fee is 20% and you keep 80%. Posh doesn't charge until your item sells & the buyer accepts it. I don't remember exactly what I paid for the ring, it was so many yrs ago. I think between $100-200 back then. JR pieces are a lot more now & this one is rare.

Ok thank you so much!

Listings on Posh ship priority mail for $7.97, charged to the buyer. They email the buyer's shipping label to you & you print it & put it on your package. I reuse packages I save from stuff I bought online. Or you can get the priority mail packages from the PO free.

Oh that’s good to know -I forgot to ask you about that. Do they handle sales tax too?

OMG I’m sorry… I don’t know why it did that – it was behaving like it wasn’t even sending it to you. Thank you so much! I’ll leave you alone now. Lol.
