Scammers are COPYING & LISTING items from Poshmarkers closets. These scammers will send you a package using the tracking number provided by Poshmark. I recently fell victim to this. The scammer sent me a package from "Amazon". Thankfully I put two and two together, the same day Poshmark said I received an item I purchased; I received a mysterious package from Amazon. Through multiple calls to Amazon, the post Office and a visit to the Post office I confirmed the package was a SCAM.

carlaromerore They send you a mysterious package because the moment you receive anything from the Post Office it makes it difficult for you to dispute that you did not receive the item because of the tracking number. This way they can SCAM you out of your money. BEWARE!

carlaromerore @kyletd1973 Yes. They go on other people's closets. Copy their pics and their listing and list it as their own. You buy it but never receive what you ordered, but since they can't get your money unless you recieved a package they send you something else instead so USPS has a package to scam and so Poshmark will release the money to the scammer.

kyletd1973 @carlaromerore that's horrible. So it's almost better to only buy off of Poshmark if it's going through the authentication process because then it'll be shipped to you from poshmark and not from the seller.

carlaromerore @amesteach Thanks I did. I was disappointed with Poshmark. They didn't investigate it, but Amazon is investigating it. They want to press charges. Poshmark didn't even take down the account of the person who committed fraud. I've kept the envelope I received because it's evidence and I'm still working with Amazon and the Post Office so this doesn't keep happening.

amesteach @carlaromerore I love Poshmark because I’m comfortable & it’s fun 💕 but as far ideas and suggestions for improvements to avoid stuff like this from happening goes, they’ve never responded to my emails!! It’s really frustrating. I probably sent 4 or 5 emails to customer support and they have not responded at all, So I completely understand your frustration.

amesteach @carlaromerore Amazon will absolutely investigate it because they have a huge department and the technology! They’re really good about taking care of the customers with quick responses and providing information on what’s happening next. I think Posh grew so quickly that they weren’t prepared and now they’re really not doing anything to improve it not to be rude, but like I just don’t understand that?

carlaromerore I agree. Their customer service is horrible whereas Amazon's is amazing. Amazon doesn't want to be associated with fraud like this and took it very seriously. I don't know why Poshmark doesn't improve their customer service because it's only going to hurt them in the long run. I keep seeing posts of people being scammed out of their money and that is the mission statement of Poshmark.

carlaromerore Its entire or sole purpose is for consumers to be protected in making purchases of luxury items because they don't allow fakes. But not only do they allow fakes on their website, they also also straight up fraud and do nothing about it.

carlaromerore It's gotten to the point where I would rather just buy clothes here and if I want to buy Gucci, Chanel or Louis Vuitton, I would rather buy it directly from the stores.

jennyleigh087 @carlaromerore I agree!! I just bought 2 different LV pouches off here and forced myself to investigate, read their reviews and do several authentication checks on different sites. I only got the pouches because I am familiar with the material and could tell it was legit but I don't think I could ever buy anything else. I see SO MANY scams and people buy left and right from them. They flagged me along time ago over a REAL LV item yet there's fakes all over and these fakes are selling for HIGH

carlaromerore @jennyl hieigh087 I know. Be careful if you see a duplicate listing, those are people who are using other people's listings to scam you out of your money. They will send you a random package with the tracking number Poshmark give a them. That happened to me, I got a face mask in the mail saying it was from Amazon.

carlaromerore It ended up being a scammer from this site, but Poshmark didn't do anything about it. If you see an luxury item with a price that is too good to be true it could be a scammer listing someone else's merchandise. Be careful. I know these scammers have used Chanel earrings and Gucci bags as their scam listings.

hananjames Happened to me 2 but soon as I receive the package and I look at it I knew it’s a scam I had my daughter took video of me opening the package and they send me face mask and Amazon card not the Chanel earrings I contact poshmark right the way and I get my money back before they release the money.

carlaromerore @hananjames They never got back to me. I sent them pictures. I contacted Amazon, the Post Office and I alerted Poshmark to what was going on. They released my money to the scammer and never refunded me.

beach_blvd @carlaromerore wow this is eye opening & scary. I can conquer PM has not withheld their 'promise' of providing a safe place here but rather just take their 20% cut & go about their days. I too have heavily limited by purchases on here & think twice about buying luxury on here now bc you simply never know! im sorry u went thru such an awful experience. that really sucks😔

locolayni @carlaromerore thank you for letting poshers know . I do know that here on poshmark you cannot post reposhed photos without the original seller giving you the permission to use their pictures. I also agree more should be done to preventing kick offs before there up and ads running.
