SOLD! Vintage 1970s Alabaster marble stone pear: pink, yellow, green. RARE!

Stone fruit was popular in the 1960s & 1970s, and it's experiencing a resurgence today. These pieces were carved from alabaster marble, sometimes with embedded calcite; the stem is a natural wooden peg. Pears are one of the more common fruits, but this particular pear has unusual and excellent coloration, including pink blush, yellow-orange flesh and just a hint of green by the stem. It's a beautiful recreation of a ripening pear. Condition is excellent, with no scuffs or flaws. I have more stone fruit, I recently acquired numerous pieces at an estate sale.
