Vintage 1970s Alabaster marble stone peach, pink, yellow, green. RARE!

Stone fruit was popular in the 1960s & 1970s, and it's experiencing a resurgence today. These pieces were carved from alabaster marble, sometimes with embedded calcite; the stem is a natural wooden peg. The colors for this peach are mostly shades of pink, coral and yellow. At the very bottom there is a hint of lime green. I love the way the ombré effect of the stone's colors perfectly mimics the hues of a ripening peach. One side has some dramatic onyx banding. No matter what angle you look at this decor item from, it's beautiful. The condition is very good. There is some small chipping in the "nub" of the peach, but it's hardly noticeable from any angle. pics shown. please note, the peach is a rare find.
