These Hedi Slimane-era jeans are in excellent condition and have had zero alterations. Unfortunately, I have been forced size up for most of the jeans in wardrobe, as I have gained around 30 lbs of muscle from lifting six days a week on an upper/lower split over the past year and a half. Fifteen sets of quads and fifteen sets of hamstrings each week have made my thighs and glutes a little too large to fit these. Even still, I prefer wearing black denim, so I rarely wear blue jeans. That said, these are my favorite cut from any of the many Hedi Slimane-era jeans in my wardrobe — so much so that I even drafted a pattern based on the cut, which I had used to tailor other jeans and pants. I even prefer the cut of these to the venerated D02s. Garment has been gently hand-washed using Laundress denim detergent and air dried. Given how infrequently these were worn and the outstanding quality of the fabric and construction, these have years of life remaining for the denim enthusiast seeking out an everyday pair of jeans. I hate to see them sit in my closet unworn!
