If you're reading this, I believe you purchased a fraudulent listing. I fell victim to this, so I am following+tagging people if I can on this post to show them what's happening and how to deal with it. The fraud posters block me before their items sell now, so I can't comment on listings to warn people ahead of time.
Waves of scammers are saturating the accessories communities (Harveys, Loungefly, Dooney & Bourke, Pandora, etc.) I'm linked to most things Disney but dabble everywhere.
There are 2 scams happening. One is trickier than the other, but it's navigable. I'll go over both:
Scam 1) You get shipped a random box of junk.
Scam 2) You get a tracking # and it gets delivered, but there's no package to be found. You cannot report it undelivered to Poshmark because the status via USPS is delivered. USPS takes the fall but only reimburses the first $100. You lose the rest.
HOW TO HANDLE EITHER:
** NOTE: YOU HAVE 72 HOURS FROM DELIVERY RECEIPT TO DISPUTE THIS; OTHERWISE FUNDS RELEASE TO THE SELLER **
Video record yourself opening any package that shows up. If it's junk, send video/pics to Poshmark for refund.
If it doesn’t show up BUT IT SAYS DELIVERED, DON'T panic & DO NOT report it missing.
Call your LOCAL post office branch ASAP, give them your tracking # and ask them to confirm that your name + address is tied to the tracking #.
Chances are it is a duplicated (stolen) tracking # from a package nearby with your same city + zip. This is mail fraud.

FAQ:
- How did they get the tracking info to give me?
I have no clue, but I know they have access somehow. I know it's horrifying, but the best we can do for now is not let them succeed and to report it to USPIS as mail fraud as soon as we can.
- Wait, why is this working?
Because the USPS only reports City and Zip on tracking information. If it gets delivered to anyone with your same city & zip, nothing looks suspicious on paper.

- Were you able to get a refund? Yes, I was - for $400. I had to work FAST though. Getting the post office to work with you is CRUCIAL. /// - Am I oblivious/not smart for falling for this? No. You're someone who had faith and was deceived, and there's nothing wrong with that. You didn't deserve it.

- Do I really have to call people? Yes, unfortunately, you do. But I'll make it easy; here's a script. Have your tracking number ready.
"Hi, I recently had a package get marked delivered but not show up. I checked everywhere. It was an online order from Poshmark. After it got marked shipped, I realized the listing seemed suspicious, and I think the tracking number might have been manipulated. Can you please look it up and confirm it is not a duplicate and that it is tied to me and my address?"

- How do I find who to call? Search your city and state followed by "USPS" and make sure it has a local area code - not one of the 1-800 numbers. You must speak with a real person. The prompts will vary but press/say what you have to to get a real person. It will be something along the lines of "speak to a representative."

@rvamp74 call them and have them confirm it was your name tied to the tracking and that it wasn't a duplicate

@helloclickthis thank you for app the information

@helloclickthis if it shows as a duplicate yet now has my address attached as well as the other what can I do?
onlygrails
@amycomfort did you get this worked out by chance? I know mine said duplicate as well but ultimately the post office realized what was happening and realized the number never really belonged to me.

@helloclickthis they photoshop the shipping label, changing an address to a house down the road, but in the same zip code. So a random person receives, let's say, pair of socks. They just toss them aside and move on with their life. But to you it shows delivered, and then you have to prove that you didn't get it. I'll tag you in a post that has alot of discussion about these scams.
