I’m all about the shares (of all kinds)!
I like self-shares to update my listings.
I like sharing others to network with other Poshers!
Do you notice a difference after a certain amount of self-shares?
Do you notice a difference sharing others?

I have found most of my sales coming from people that have 0 to 5 listings with under 100 followers. I think they are searching their size and brand. And I have only sold single items.

@gracie20142018 thanks for sharing your tip! 😄❤️ I haven’t tried that but I did share and follow “fresh closets and made a couple of small sales

I'm adding ever few days since I'm down sizing and have items packed away. but can't seem to get the word out. I do sharing all the time. I like parties, sharing from others as well. seems like I get more likes that way.

@mrsmcrz that’s cool that the parties work for you. I share to the parties but I think there is so many listing in there that people get over whelmed.

Hi I'm Beth😊. I've only been selling for a couple months and don't have tons of listings yet, but in the experience I do have I've notice that everytime I share my closet I get a few new followers, and quite a few single item shares (assuming from people shopping). I've found sharing other people's closets to be really helpful--i've joined a share group and before I was getting maybe 1-2 likes per week,

now I typically get 5-6 a day! The best sharing advice I've gotten so far, and have made several sales because of it, is targeted sharing--where you check out sold listings similar to the ones you have for sale (brand, size, etc) to find the people that have actually bought that type of item, and then I follow them and share their listings (if they have any). It helps them out and it helps me get my listings in front of people who are more likely to purchase!

@stapledchicbtq I find that I get some likes and follows from parties as well, and lots of people share my listings which is always cool. I keep hearing to share your items over and over during parties though, so I don't think people realize that when you share they only come up once--duplicate shares don't bring your items up to the top again. I've met lots of people who swear by the parties though! I wish it worked as well for me; I think parties are almost all sellers.

@inspirejoy hi! 🥰😄 thanks for your thoughts! I appreciate good Posh advice! I’ll have to try the sold listings thing! I’ve been doing a lot of different methods but I just get a lot of shares and likes. I have joined a couple of share games but they are super time consuming. I mainly do share games to stay current with posh and keep my share numbers up! I’ve also been following a bunch to get fresh followers as well.

@inspirejoy the parties are already tough for me! I haven’t really gone out of my way to share to them. If you look at past parties that already happened there is like over 100,000 listings (shared to the party) and to make it worse if it’s a general theme like date night or girl boss or casual, it seems like everyone just shares all their listings to the parties (even if they don’t apply to the theme) which at the end of the party brings listing up to 2,000,000 😫😬

When you list new items you are definitely brought to the top of the searches. I have been re-listing and adding new items and have had my first sale in a while (on a new item).
I gave up on the parties as they were time-consuming and didn’t result in sales.
Tag lists also help and I think follow games are fun to get more followers. Have a great day!

@tobeyk parties time consuming? I thought I read somewhere that only your first share per item to a party gets seen. Your followers sharing your items to the parties...seen again. I’m getting a lot of new Poshers since I hit the ambassador mark. They nearly all have showing 147 “following” and 1 or 2 “followers” which makes me wonder if PM populates new PMers? Maybe they didn’t actually follow me on purpose at all?
holleyshaw
I get the followers generally from shopping and sharing a closet. It’s all complicated to me. I feel like there are tiers of sellers and shoppers Uber expensive to yard sale prices and items.

@holleyshaw Hi! To clarify I meant that the share parties are time consuming meaning the ones organized by other PMers. The PM official parties aren’t time consuming at all. I spent a lot of time when I first got started with the ones that had 75 closets that you have to share 10 each. Too much! I do think self-sharing and selectively sharing is important though. Just had a sale Wednesday so that’s good! Good luck!

@inspirejoy hi there, how do you check out “sold listings simmer”? Where do find that? Thank you so much!
inspirejoy
@jaxruby do you mean the similar sold listings? I had to re-read this convo haha😊. If you go to the shopping tab and search the item or brand you're looking to sell (for example, if I want to sell a pair of VS PINK leggings, I'd search VS PINK workout wear in the sizes I'm looking to sell) then go into filters, down to "availability" and select "sold items." Then you can see all of the similar

@jaxruby (cont'd from above) items that were sold and find out who bought/liked them. I like to follow/share listings from those ppl and that way it gets ppl to see my listings that I know are into that particular style and size.
jaxruby
@inspirejoy thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate that.❤️I am going to check it out.
jaxruby
@inspirejoy great idea!💕😊💕

@jaxruby I can't remember who told me that but it's some of the best advice I've gotten! Thanks for the shares--sharing you back!💃💖
