May I ask what size you typically wear, say, in dresses, so that I know if this might fit me? I'd also like to know how long this is--to the knee, mid-thigh, or upper thigh?

@highsoprano I wear size XL now. That coat fit me when I was a Medium. At the time I was wearing medium in dresses. The coat is 31 inches long and goes to mid thigh.
