So why do people say “reasonable offer”?

Poshmark sellers often say they accept reasonable offers. Part of the reason for this is for many sellers, this is a small business, the income helps support their households, pays for their kids swimming lessons or gymnastics or football uniform, even books for going back to college. Listing takes a lot of time, research and ensuring what you are selling is good quality that customers appreciate. Offering $5 is asking your seller to have done all of that work including getting in their car and running to the post office for basically$1 (Poshmark fee is $2.99 for anything under $15). It does not bother us that you don’t accept our offer or counter offer. We will sell the items whether you buy them or not so offers really are for the buyer to decide whether they really want the item or not. Will you decide not to buy the item(s) if we’re only $1 or $2 apart? Pay attention to what total % discount the seller is giving you. If they offer a bundle discount and double that discount that is a really big discount - continuing to haggle with them is devaluing all of the work they put into all of those listings, their time and effort. Thus, be reasonable.
