cocoviolette It is very full cut - just hangs from the shoulders like a wide tent. Mannequin is a size 6 and it fits her but is also very full & plenty roomy. It is designed to fit loose & flowing. Length of both pieces is 38". Shoulders of robe up to 16" - across should work, Gown pit to pit 22" x 2 = 44" max around the bust. Pit to pit of robe 26" max. x 2 = 52" Max around bust . is marked a size Med. which is an accurate size. Medium is a size 6 - 8 in contemporary sizing. Shoulders of Mannequin -14"

cocoviolette You could go to Shadowline's website and look at their sizing charts for more fit info. This will fit same as robes, & nighty sets they make now. It is same as contemporary sizing. I'm sz 4 & could wear this. My DIL is an 8 & it fits her nicely. It is not a tiny vintage size. I hope this helps!

cocoviolette I checked Shaowline's Sizing charts: They state: M fits Bust 38 - 39.5, Waist 28 - 30, Hips 39 - 41.5 inches. ( Bust is measurement, not bra size. ) Numeric sz is 36, Alpha size is Med. Comparable Dress size is 10 ,12, & 14. Because it is a tent style it can fit a huge range of sizes. 4,6,8, 10, 12, 14 - it will be more loose and flowing on smaller sizes, but still works
