omybunny @pat2014 She is just showing off her 6 toed footsies! Her name is Penny and she is half monkey LOL! So funny and has thumbs on all four feet! I have never had or seen a polydactyl kitty cat before her. She is amazing!

omybunny @pat2014 Oh my gosh!! Don't you think they would be hilarious together! Penny caught a tiny mouse back in the late fall and tried to play with it! Every time she would put it down on the floor to play it would take off and she and I were both trying to catch it. I was trying to catch it to put it put of my house! She was trying to catch it so she could play with it again! Neither of us was successful, but hopefully it left because I never saw it again! Don't like the idea of a mouse in my house but she thought it was thrilling!! LOL!

pat2014 Yes they would but your kitty might eat my bird lol They always play with them first but in the end she will win . It's a big laugh to watch them play before the kill I had a male cat he would chase the mouse they were outside & he would jump & keep it under his belly then let it go over & over then u know the rest of the story

omybunny @pat2014 Unfortunately I do know the rest of the story. The biggest reason I use humane catch and release if we have the threat of a little rodent. I can't stand to kill or let anything be killed if I can with the exception of spiders and bees!! And snakes!!! LOL! I felt like I had lost what was left of my mind last week! I adopted a ladybug for a few days when I rescued her from Penny! We get an amazing amount of ladybugs in the house during the winter. I have no idea why except they come in to get out of the cold and on nice days i leave my patio door open enough for the fur babies to go in and out as they want because the porch is a story off the ground and completely screened in. They must sneak in that way and I have had to rescue and release many lizards that became toys for a while until I caught them to put them back out. Anyway I caught myself talking to the ladybug who made a home on my unused kitchen counter with a little cake and water. LOL! I fed her and gave her water until she disappeared three days later!

omybunny @optophelia Oh please do post your pics! I had never even seen a kitty with thumbs until I adopted her! I have an older sweet kitty Merry. She is beautiful, her face reminds me of a bird!! I have the sweetest videos of the two of them lying in my chair with me slapping each other in the face very slowly! LOL! Too lazy to fight or play so they just layed and tapped each other until one gets mad! LOL! Hilarious!

omybunny @greyjoy The reason I asked is when I adopted Penny, I did a lot of research concerning her thumbs and Maine Coons are known for being polydactyl, but like you say they have the long gorgeous hair and beautiful markings. Hemmingways are more local to where I am in SC and they come in all shapes and fur but have the thumbs. She is amazing! She uses her hands & thumbs to pick things up or grab my hand and fingers to put them in her mouth! LOL! She is very playful and talks to me a lot.
