VTG 1960s Stevens FORSTMAN Mid-Thigh Wool Coat w/Fur Collar

This is a beautiful example of a classic wool/fur trimmed coat by Stevens Forstmann Fabric popular during the mid-century. It is mid-thigh length with full length sleeves and can be worn loose or belted.There are no size labels/references, but the coat would best fit a modern medium size 8-10, possibly a 12. The wool has very small imperfections caused by moths, but really not very visible unless you are looking for them. Please refer to the photos and measurements and additional notes provided. Overall, this coat is in very good condition aside minor imperfections. If you like the classic vintage look this is the coat for you! Features/ Notes • Quality 100% Virgin Wool • Ivory/ Light Tan Color • Ivory and Black Hand-stitched Fur Collar: Unknown Type • 2 Slanted deep lined side pockets with flaps • Three button closure (bottom button needs securing) • Satin type fabric lining • Made in the USA Approximate Measurements: Most likely a Size M+ • Front: Top of shoulder to bottom: 30-31”. • Back: Top of shoulder to bottom: 30”. • Front Chest: 20”. • Sleeve length:31”. Note: tiny wool imperfections can be found at the back bottom hem, above third button, near and under left pocket, and on the belt. The wool is slightly rough to the touch. Lastly, you will see hand-stitching throughout the coat that may appear loose, but all stitching is secure. The lining at the hem appears to be “unfinished” but it maybe how coats were made.
