Vintage Alden 761 —a full-strap penny loafer— produced for Brooks Brothers in mahogany calfskin, size 11D. Aberdeen lasts, Goodyear welt, apron almond toe, penny vamp. The uppers are in good condition with moderate creasing of toebox being the most notable wear. There is some light speckling of discoloration and a few small areas of hairline scratching. Small scuffs and scratching are evident at both heels, and the rolled rim of the top edge shows slight cracking. Stitching is tight and neat. Insoles are discolored and one area of leather near heel is lifting, but they are free of rips, tears, and odor. Soles are worn but without damage. No holes, thinning, cracking, or punctures. The sole wear has begun to wear down stitching, as seen in close-up photo. The last four photos detail the most egregious wear to the shoes, showing top edge wear, creasing and speckling of toebox, heel wear, and sole wear respectively. I have only cleaned and conditioned the leather; I would prefer to show all wear rather than disguise it. All wear and damage is as described and depicted.
