A lovely and unique vintage cocktail dress with what appears to be corde fabric as the detailing - I have never seen anything like it! The top dress is sheer and even has velvet trim on the sleeves. Both piece zip up the back. The dress with a metal zipper, the slip with a nylon zipper (I am not 100% sure the slip actually went with the dress originally). The dress also has an elastic waist! Note that the chiffon of the skirt is like a purple grey color. No size or label tags. Would likely best fit a modern Medium, though the corde and elastic waist of the dress do make it a bit more accommodating than most vintage dresses, the slip is not as accommodating. Approx. Measurements for dress: Bust: 36-40 inches Waist: 28 - 36 inches Hips : about 40 inches to keep pleating look Length: 41 inches Sleeve Length: 13 inches Approx. Measurements for Slip: Bust: 38 inches Waist: 29 inches Hips : 38 inches Length: 41 inches Fair vintage condition - Presents beautifully, but has substantial wear to both pieces. Maybe wearable if you are careful - pieces are delicate. It would make a great costume or study! There are a number of issues. Some loose pieces of corde in the pattern as well as other loose threads here and there. There are some snags, rips, and holes and shattering to both pieces.
